1. VPN connection

Follow the instructions on this page. [in Greek for the time being].
In the username field use the full email Department address, ie.       username@csd.uoc.gr
(not username@uoc.gr as shown in the instructions)

2. Connection to csd hosts
 
At this stage use the Department username only, without @csd.uoc.gr

1. ssh connection: use a ssh connection program (e.g. putty) type the hostname (hostname.csd.uoc.gr), username (without the domain part), password.

Here is the list of csd hostnames.
 

1. secure copy - secure ftp: use a secure ftp connection program. Type the hostname (hostname.csd.uoc.gr), username (without the domain part), password, making sure you connect to port 22 (sftp).

 
Useful programs are fireftp, filezilla, WinSCP (Windows).

All clients are debian 64bit exept rodi, avocado, ahladi, aherousia, ananas, milo, agwnia, karpouzi, kastano, kukunari      which are debian 32bit
