"The University of Crete informs you that it collects and processes simple or special categories of personal data in order to promote the procedures required to complete your studies. The collection and processing of your data is based on articles 6 par. 1 case (c) or (e) and for special categories of personal data (sensitive) 9 par. Your personal data will remain at the disposal of the University of Crete throughout the duration of your studies and will then be registered in the department's archive where they will remain forever for reasons of validity of the documents we have issued to you such as a degree. During the above period the recipients of your personal data will be the members who contribute in any way to your education or departments and services involved in any way in the benefits arising from your student status. Also, for statistical purposes, part of your personal data may be transmitted, such as your e-mail address, in order to take part in studies or statistics related exclusively to your studies at the University of Crete and for no other purpose.
For as long as your personal data will remain at the disposal of the University of Crete, you have the right to exercise the right of access, rectification, updating, restriction of processing, opposition and portability in accordance with the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (EU). You also have the right to report to the Data Protection Authority at www.dpa.gr. The University of Crete has appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted at dpo@uoc.gr."
