Registration exams for graduates
At the Department of Computer Science of the University of Crete, graduates are ranked in accordance with the provisions of Article 131 of Law 5224/2025 (Government Gazette 142/τ.Α/05-08-2025), which added Article 78A to Law 4957/2022 as follows:A+

The following categories are eligible for admission to Departments or Single-Department Schools of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs):
a) Graduates of Universities, Higher Ecclesiastical Academies, Technological Educational Institutions (TEIs)
a) Graduates of HEIs, Higher Ecclesiastical Academies, Technological Educational Institutions (TEIs)
and the Higher School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPAITE),
b) graduates of foreign institutions that are included in the National Register of Recognized Foreign Higher Education Institutions of the Interdisciplinary Organization for the Recognition of Academic
and Information (DOATAP) of Article 304,
c) graduates of branches of Legal Entities of University Education (N.P.P.E.),
d) holders of degrees from higher education institutions offering two-year and two-year courses under the jurisdiction of the Ministry
of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports and other Ministries,
e) holders of a certificate under paragraph 1 of Article 76 of Law 4957/2022, as amended and in force, certifying the possession of at least one hundred and twenty (120) credit units (ECTS), following approval by the Assembly of the Department or the Single-Department School of the Higher Education Institution.
Deadline for submission of applications: 1 November to 15 November of each year.

- Certificate of detailed grades (optional)
- Certificate pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 76 of Law 4957/2022, as amended and in force, certifying that candidates in this category have earned at least one hundred and twenty (120) credit units (ECTS)

Dates of examinations:
The qualifying examinations are held from 1 December to 20 December each year. The exact examination schedule is announced by the Department's Registrar and posted on the announcements website at least ten (10) days prior to the start of the first course examination.
For the academic year 2025-26, the exam dates are as follows:
HY150 Programming, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Room E311
HY120 Digital Design, Thursday, December 11, 2025, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Room E313
HY118 Discrete Mathematics, Friday, December 12, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Room E311.
