PhD Research Scholar, University of Crete, Greece.

I am with the Speech Signal processing Laboratory (SSPL) at University of Crete, Greece. My research activities are focussed on developing neural models to improve listening comfort in noisy acoustic scenarios. This includes models for suppressing noise artifacts on the recording, as well as the intelligibility defining modifications of speech characteristics. In parallel, I am also interested on measuring the physiological effort (on EEG scale) of listening to the speech signals; called listening effort. On the quest, I was a visiting researcher at Sonova, AG, Staefa, Switzerlad & Institute of digital multimedia and technology (IDMT), Franhoufer Institute, Oldenburg, Germany, and Chania General Hospital, Crete, Greece. The research activities are funded by the E.U. Horizon2020 Grant Agreement 675324, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network, ENRICH.
